Newsletter: Covid-19 Level 3 Lockdown Update
Dear Resident,
As announced by President Ramaphosa on the 28th December 2020, the country reverted to Level 3 lockdown with effect from midnight on the 28th December. The lockdown restrictions and regulations are detailed in the Government Gazette published on the 29th of December 2020.
The Directors would like to bring the important information regarding the Level 3 restrictions and regulations to your urgent attention:
1. Communal Pool
The communal pool will be closed with immediate effect to all residents in line with the Level 3 restrictions.
2. Social gatherings inside the Estate
The Government Gazette lays out the rules and restrictions with regard to social gatherings.
Please familiarize yourself with the Government Gazette rules pertaining to having social Page 2 of 2 gatherings. The same rules will apply to the Estate and at this stage, no visitors will be allowed to enter the Estate with immediate effect and until further notice.
As per the Government Gazette Section 36. (3), all social gatherings are prohibited for a two-week period. Please refrain from handing your resident access tag to your visitors in order to gain access to the Estate via the resident entrance gate. The Estate entrance will be closely monitored by the security officers and any contraventions of the Estate Rules will be recorded by the officers. The visitor entrance and exit gates will remain closed for the remainder of the Level 3 lockdown period and only open for pre-arranged service providers.
Please also familiarize yourself with the Estate Rules available on the HOA website listed under HOA Documents.
3. Wearing a mask
Residents are urged to wear a cloth mask at all times when entering a public space and the communal areas in the Estate as prescribed in the Government Gazette Section 34. (1) and (2).
The Estate will not accept responsibility should there be consequences for a resident not wearing a cloth mask in public spaces and adhering to the lockdown rules.
4. Domestic workers and gardeners
Domestic workers and gardeners will be allowed to gain access to the Estate and the current access procedure at the pedestrian gate will apply by taking temperature readings and record all details for workers entering the Estate on a daily basis.
5. Service providers
Only emergency service providers, ie. Plumber, electricians and contractual service providers for the Estate and Body Corporates will be allowed access into the Estate and only when prior arrangements have been made with the Directors and Security Supervisor. When requesting access, please ensure to state the type of service required, service provider details, date, and time when the service provider is expected to arrive at the Estate.
6. Contractors
No contractors will be allowed to enter the Estate to proceed with any form of maintenance, building and upgrades of houses during the lockdown period. The contractors’ closure period will lapse on the 10th January whereafter contractors will be allowed to enter the Estate from the 11th January 2021 to proceed with building and maintenance projects.
